First time visiting Banbury Odeon to watch Evil dead rise (evening veiwing). I Haven't been to the movies since before the start of covid-19 so it was well due, me and my partner were greeted by welcoming staff. The lobby was modern, clean and tidy and a wide selectionof snacks/drinks. We made our way up stairs to screen 2 and was thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness and temperature was comfortable. The sound and quality of the screen was perfect. A overall great experience, we cant wait to visit again!
Thank you Odeon team for a great evening.
Downloaded the Odeon app to take advantage of the £5 Movie booking.
Free parking outside after 18:00.
Oliver (Bottle Rocket) today was outstanding. He had the answers to my many questions on hand. The size of the large screen, the film on and the time. I always prefer to watch in the largest screen. He was very impressed that I had never dropped my extra large Coke, hot dog, popcorn and nachos all over the cinema seats and floor as I am always so careful and always tidy up after myself. So pleased to see how clean they keep everything.
Oliver deserves a special mention - great rapport with customers could easily see him in a Manager role.
Thank you.
Great staff but the infra is really bad. It's a place out of the 50s or 60s. No reclining seats, small screen, average sound quality. Compare that to odeon Nuneaton or Coventry, this place is really lagging behind in amenities. Limited options for food as well. But then I don't think they ever have a house full show, so maybe not worth the investment to the franchise?
Nice quiet cinema. Parking outside altho a charge. Comfy seats! Only issue was the deals that were on for food and drink and advertised were not given when trying to purchese and staff seemed to not know what they were doing or how to deal with customers which let it down!
Banbury Odeon has only 2 screens but is a great family cinema we have been using for many year’s. The staff are first class, very polite, welcoming and attentive. The food is delicious as always and we love the large Tango mixed Slush drinks which are fizzy and to die for. We pay for the best Premium seats as comfort is essential watching a movie and this cinema is family orientated as sometime’s in school holiday’s it has discount’s on ticket prices. I applaud you for doing this helping out families more so now with the cost of living crisis.
There are two screens. The staff is always friendly. There is a wide range of snacks available. Parking is available outside the cinema and nearby. Parking is free from 6PM.
Horribly dated, ruined a weekend movie with son. No point in modernizing the look, I don't go there to sit comfortably during a worse-than-tv quality show. I go there to enjoy a film in better-than-at-home quality, and this one doesn't do it.
Tickets were WAY overpriced, the seat layout is flat, screen placement too low to see from people in front of you, sound system is not even dolby surround, or if it is, then trash speakers that don't deliver. Sound was so low and lack dimension my basic speakers sound better at home. I couldn't hear parts of the film because of people quietly talking around us. That's how low the volume was.
Overall, an absolute regret, and never again going to go back.
Absolutely love this cinema. We go more now than we ever did. Staff are so nice , really friendly. Small quaint clean cinema. I really hope this stays open when the new one arrives. I love this cinema and don’t want to go anywhere else.
